I found this old piece of furniture at a consigment store in our area for only $30! It is a solid wood piece and is super heavy. Thanks to the muscles of the Cutes and a random apartment neighbor, it finally made it into our 3rd floor apartment (not an easy task). Apparently, this functioned as a media case back in its younger years.
The shelves had cassette tape plastic holders mounted on to them which were easily removed with a screw driver and some hard work. After wiping it down and lightly sanding, we rolled on a coat of black paint to the body and accented the shelves with a punch of red.
I love how it turned out! It provides us lots of space to display and store all the beautiful gifts we received! It also serves as a great place for a buffet (potenially, if I ever entertained a big enough crowd to 'need' a buffet)

I absolutely love it!! You did an awesome job. I wish I could find something cool around here to paint, but our Goodwill smells like urine and moth balls
