18 Years ago the McCay family welcomed a new little brother to the already large family. I remember that day very well, and thanks to the oversized video camera our family invested in, we have great footage of this event! Carrianna, Rob, and I all rode to the hospital with Dad to see the new addition to the family. I remember how excited we were to get out of school early! Dad drove so fast down the highway that we even passed a motorcycle (apparently that was a big deal to a 9 year old because I have a vivid memory of that moment).
Will was definitely a surprise to our family, but what a PERFECT gift God gave us. I love this little blonde haired boy.... I still view him as this first picture but he is now towering over everyone in the family!
I am so proud of Will! He is so talented, will try anything, has strong opinions and beliefs, hard worker, great student-very smart and diligent when it comes to school-he is hilarious and can always make us laugh! This past summer, Will worked at a Christian ranch in Colorado and had the time of his life! I know that God has HUGE plans for him and I am so excited to see where He leads!
Reasons why Will is so Legit:
1. He scares small children without even trying
2. He can scale a mountain in 5.5 seconds while holding a piece of pizza in both hands
3. He stills hugs me when I come home
4. He has survived 5 years with mom and dad as an only child..God bless you:)
5. He was the first McCay to attend a public school and have a working TV in their room. I tried to get those gigs for years...
Happy Birthday Wilbur, Willie Wonka, Will.I.Am, Willie-bo-billy! We LOVE your face off and thank the Lord for YOU!
3 Sweet Thoughts:
Well GREAT! Just great! You've made us look like our parenting is slipping a bit! Believe me, we still have our eyes on the big oaf!
I remember the fast trip to the hospital like it was yesterday. We took the old Hwy 11 through Niota and I was driving VERY fast. I am not sure why, because Will had already been born. I guess that is just tradition when a new baby is born. We do love our Willie and we know God has big plans for the ol'boy!
I am laughing out loud on my couch right now! ha ha. Pizza in both hands...you're a nerd, kate. And I remember that dad hit 100mph in our new white caravan. Vivid to me too:)
